Executive Summary

To study the clinical and molecular determinants of type 1 diabetes (T1D) nephropathy and associated clinical outcomes. By establishing new kidney biopsy recruitment centers and leveraging the extensive resources from the Kidney Precision Medicine Project (KPMP), this study will advance our understanding of the varied pathophysiologic processes and related outcomes of Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in people with T1D and identify needed novel therapeutic targets.
